The earphone cord is longer than the other, and they are very, very short. But yes, you can use them with other things though. The only thing, you have to have the Sony Ericsson adapter to go along with them.
The sound quality is outstanding. Beleive it or not, they still worked, and still sound the same. Yes, these headphones are the best I've ever had.
I would definetly recommend these to people. But Overall, I give them 9.5 out of 10. They last a very, very long time.
I have left them in my pants and washed them about 3 times.
Enables me to fully utilise my walkman fone. If you are going for the cheapest handsfree set for ur sony ericsson cell fone then go for this.I lost my original set. So bought this as I urgently needed a handsfree set for my long office calls.Didnt want to spend much on a bluetooth. So this was just perfect being the cheapest n the best.Works fine.n specially love the in ear earbuds.
But if you want to use them to make hands free calls (this was the only reason I got them) then don't bother. On the positive side the sound quality is good for both music and phone calls (but since the other person can't hear you it is negated) and they also look good. I realize others may not mind, but for me I prefer to use other ear phones that are the same length on both sides (which you can do with this headset since it is a two piece that disconnect at the mike). By the way it was not just on set that had a bad mic, as I ordered two of them since my wife and I both have Sony phones and they both have unacceptable mics. Technically it does work, but only in the fact that when I use them for a call the people on the other end can hear something. I really wanted to like these.
But, the different cord lengths for the left and right ear is something I hate. As a final note I would say that if you only want them to listen to music and don't mind that the left and right ear chords are different lengths then I'm sure you will like them very much since they are a visually pleasing combination to a black Sony phone. After all they seemed to be everything I wanted. However, the sound quality is so bad that they always ask me what is wrong with the phone, and after I would explain they would usually rather not talk if I have to use the headset. Hope this helps you decide. They match my phone, function as a hands free headset, and are cheap.
The other issue, and the one that is the deal breaker for me is the extremely low quality of the mic.
One of the cords is so short that you can not put the phone in your pocket - you basically have to hold the phone close to your ear. The sound quality was fine. The biggest problem is the way the ear plug cord is designed.
highly recommended. Went to an electronic store to find these little buddies for 50 dollars. got this perfectly fine set for under 10.
